To print a demo page from the Color LaserJet CP4025:

- Press the down arrow button until "INFORMATION" appears on the screen.
- Press the OK button.
- Press the down arrow button until "PRINT DEMO PAGE" is displayed.
- Press the OK button.

HP Color LaserJet CP1215 configuration page

To print a configuration page from the CP1215, hold down the Resume button (the green button on the front of the printer) for about four or five seconds.  The configuration page will print, followed by the supplies status page.

If you dont have the correct HP software installed on your computer, or if the printer is not connected to your computer, you may get a mostly blank page with the message "Install Software or connect PC" instead of the config page and supplies status page.  You can find information on how to fix this error on the HP website.

HP Color LaserJet 2605dn

The HP Color LaserJet 2605dn is a great example of how color laser printers have evolved over the years. Gone are the large, bulky and downright ugly monoliths of old, and in their place curvaceous, sleek, nicely colored devices like this one. If it operates as good as it looks, HP are on to a winner.

The LaserJet 2605dn is very easy to set up. The cartridges are already installed, there are no drums or fuser units to worry about. Simply remove the travel tags from the toner, plug it in, install drivers and off you go. The drivers include the PCL and PostScript drivers and will support both Windows and Mac. Linux users will have to download the drivers from the HP site to get theirs working.

Getting the 2605dn recognised on the network was as easy as connecting it to the router and turning it on. The drivers saw it immediately and Windows added it to the workgroup automatically. All in all, setup took less than 10 minutes once unpacked.

There is a 250 sheet paper drawer, which has the option to be expanded, a manual feeder for different media, and duplexer for double sided printing. The standard 64Mb of memory can also be expanded if you need to, up to a maximum of 320Mb. Plenty enough for most uses I imagine, plenty enough for me anyway.

The quality of the output is what any printer is judged on, and the 2605dn is no exception. Monochrome printing is smooth, stark and exact, which is what I want in a printer. The black standing out against the white to make a brilliant contrast. Color printing is equally good, especially when printing leaflet type media. Images and photgraphs look a lot better than they should do with a laser and it raises the bar for other printers to reach. At 12 pages per minute for monochrome and 10 for color its quite fast enough for most uses.

The HP Color LaserJet 2605dn is a small printer whose output quality belies such a compact chassis. Its quiet, efficient and easy to look after. The print quality is excellent both in mono and color and its capable of producing remarkable quality images too. This is a great little color printer that cannot be recommended enough.
